Alongside our functional courses that focus on particular product modules, we have developed a series of specialised courses themed around specific Use Cases. These courses are short and sharp, designed to focus on a particularly useful solution to enhance the day-to-day performance of a given user role. Select one that is most relevant to learn more.
Analyst (2023): Use Case 1. Build and enhance a report
(🕐15 mins) For this Use Case, you take the role of an analyst whose manager has requested a Financial Analysis Detail report that will allow them to track the performance of sales associates, in each team, within each region in the company.
By the end of this use case, you will have watched video tutorials and engaged in hands-on exercises.
Use Case: Parent Child Hierarchy for Business Analysts 2023
(🕑45-60min) This course will give an overview of Parent Child Hierarchies (PCH) Reporting techniques, which enable end-users to manipulate the data in different visualizations in Discover, and prepare it to be shared and interpreted.

Use Case: Parent-Child Hierarchies (Data Modeler)

As a Data Modeler, do you want to know how to implement a ‘Parent-Child’ Hierarchy? Parent child hierarchies are also useful for organizational data, particularly when the hierarchy contains an unequal number of levels, or levels that are not logically equivalent. In this course we will show you how to build a hierarchy within an IMDB data model.
