The 2025 release of Pyramid Analytics brings a range of powerful new features designed to enhance how you explore, analyze, and act on your data. This guide is your go-to resource for discovering what’s new—through a growing collection of short, focused video tutorials.

Each video highlights a specific feature, showing you not just what’s changed, but how to apply it in real scenarios to get immediate value. Whether you’re looking to streamline workflows, unlock deeper insights, or improve collaboration, you’ll find practical guidance here.

This guide is continuously evolving. New tutorials will be added regularly, so be sure to check back often to stay up to date and make the most of the latest capabilities.

Here are some new features and enhancements:

1. Database Xtender

Pyramid can now support separate database servers, databases, or both from a common semantic model in a multi-tenant solution. This means that each tenant’s data source is swapped automatically while allowing the provision of common content, analytic queries, dashboards, calculations, publications, and more. This makes developing and maintaining multi-tenant and multi-data source solutions easier and faster.

Please visit our guide here.

2. Tabulate

Tabulate has had some great features in the last few releases. Here are the two major ones:

2.1. Tabulate dynamic queries

Pyramid’s Discover queries can now remain dynamic within a Tabulate sheet. This extends the flexibility of spreadsheet-oriented solutions and creates new options for delivering analytic applications.

2.2. Tabulate as a data source

Pyramid’s built-in spreadsheet interface can now be used as a source for further model builds. This creates enormous potential for using spreadsheet functionality (like cross-calculations between unrelated data sources) to deliver source data for analytic model builds.

3. Data flow LLM switch

Expanding on Pyramid’s integration with multiple large language models (LLMs), you can now select the desired LLM within a data flow processing block.

4. Embedded Search from your Hub

The Embedded Search button opens a text field where you can describe a discovery that you would like to build and add to your Hub. The Chatbot then builds the discovery as you described it and, if you click Add To Hub, saves it and embeds it in the Hub. You might want to use this feature to get a new discovery into your Hub as quickly and efficiently as possible. Visit our help guide for more information.

5. Lasso for maps

Available for both maps and point charts, you can now use a freeform lasso tool to select and interact with multiple data points. More information in our Help guide.

6. Delayed slicer execution

Where many slicers are present, this option lets you delay slicer interactions until all are set.  More information in our Help guide.

7. Layered maps

Create geospatial analytic visualizations that contain multiple layers; for example, color coding an area and overlaying coordinate point information. More information in our Help guide.
