Functional Courses

Pyramid modules offer you a lot of enhancement and support in your day-to-day analysis so it is important understand all that they can offer you. You may not be familiar with a lot of the capabilities that Pyramid possesses; from data modelling to distribution methods.

Therefore these functional courses listed below have been designed to be product-orientated. In each course we explore all the functionality associated within a given Pyramid module. This approach gives you a comprehensive and systematic understanding off all tools and abilities at your disposal as a Pyramid user. Please note, in order to get the most out of the training, we recommend you download the training materials and follow the installation guide detailed here. This will allow you to follow the eLearning activities in each course.

Guide: Data Concepts and Integrating Calculations in Pyramid

(🕑20mins) The aim of this guide is to provide useful insights into how the various Pyramid modules (or applications) support calculations, types of calculations; and how the calculation engine is applied in the various modules: Formulate, Model, Present, Publish and Illustrate.

Viewer (2023): 4. Augmented analysis

(🕑45mins) In this walkthrough, you will learn how Pyramid can help you analyze data and visualizations through the use of AI-driven engines and Machine Learning techniques. You will use four different features: the NLQ (Natural Language Query) Chat Bot, Smart Insights, Explain and Explain the difference, which provide AI-automated analysis of a given query, making it easy to interact with visualizations in plain English.

Viewer (2023): 3. Analyze further

(🕑30mins) In this walkthrough, you will be asked to produce two reports, for which you will need to explore three features of the Discover Lite tool. Discover Lite provides a streamlined interface where users can quickly analyze data on the fly; specially useful if you want to edit or create your own reports.

Viewer (2023): 2. Self-service analysis

(🕑30mins) Each section in this walkthrough will take the shape of a bite-sized use case (UC), where you will be required to complete a series of activities to produce ad hoc and recurring reports, and analyze the data in the Present dashboard provided.

(🕑20 mins) In this walkthrough, we will give you an overview of the Viewer user, how to navigate the Viewer User Interface in Pyramid, and what Pyramid modules Viewer users have access to.

Guide: Embedded Analytics with Pyramid

(🕑 30 mins) In this guide, comprised of six overview recordings and five demos, you will get a walkthrough on all areas that are important to understanding the embedding capability – use cases and key drivers to embedding, authentication, embedding API’s and typical embedding workflows.

Pro (2023.11): Model Advanced

(🕑 2h-2.5hs) By the end of this course, you will possess the skills and knowledge needed to harness the power of data flow, unlocking valuable insights and driving informed strategic and operational decisions within your organization, while also exploring advanced modeling techniques.

Pro (2023): Model Intro

(🕐2 hours) This course is designed to offer an overview of a basic model building concept within the Model Pro module. The content focuses on using Smart Model to build a model from the ground up. You will also perform basic ETL within the Model, editing it, adding a new data source , and deleting the materialized content. The last walkthrough of this course will introduce you to a series of Modeling techniques demos.

Pro (2023): Discover. Getting started

(🕐1-2 hours) This series of activity-based walkthroughs will introduce users to the fundamentals of the Discover module. You will learn to navigate the workspace and build basic reports; apply formatting, calculations, and interactive sorting and filtering to your visualizations to unleash the full potential of your queries. The last walkthrough will introduce you to the power of OpenAI and machine learning through Chat GPT and the ‘Explain’ feature.

Pyramid for Viewer License Type (2023)

(🕐1.5hours) This course focuses on the ‘Viewer’ license type. As a business user, you will learn how to access Discover reports and Present dashboards and use the self-service and augmented analytics features to better understand your data and make better decisions.

Pro (2023): Formulate

(🕐6 hours) This training will focus on the Formulate module within Pyramid. You will receive expert insights around this application; critical for harnessing the potential of Pyramid’s advanced data analysis. This training is based on Pyramid 2023.

Pro (2023): Publish

(🕐3hours) The publish module within Pyramid is great for organization and scheduling reports on a regular basis. This courses guides you through creating various publications, as well as the various scheduling and output options available to you when sharing content.

(🕐3 hours) Choose this course for a comprehensive breakdown of the Present module in Pyramid. You will learn how to elegantly display your content in various interactive dashboard configurations; for the benefit of your colleagues and organization.

Pro (2023): CMS

(Approx. 1 hr)
This course will offer an overview of the Content Management System (CMS). We will cover where the CMS can be found within the Pyramid Platform, and the functionality associated with it. This functionality includes how to manage content, using tenants, the actions panel, security and content migration. The last part of this course will be dedicated to illustrating some Use Cases on how our customers use the CMS. This training is based Pyramid 2023.

Pro (2023): Solve

(🕐1.5 hours) An enhancement and add-on for the Tabulate app to enable users to design an optimization or decision model that can prescribe solutions to business problems. This training is based on Pyramid 2023.

Pro (2023.10): Tabulate

(🕐2 hours) Designed to bring the power of a spreadsheet interface to the Pyramid platform to further support business modeling use cases. With its huge library of functions and tight compatibility with Excel, Tabulate lets users build and manage business models that are driven by live, hydrated data. Users save and share the spreadsheets inside Pyramid’s governed content management system; and deploy business model insights to non-technical users though embedded content in presentations or publications. This training is based on Pyramid 2023.

Pro (2020.20): Model

(Approx. 8 hrs)
Model underpins much of Pyramid’s functionality, allowing for datasets to be imported and data sources to power visualizations and outputs.
This training is based on Pyramid 2020.20.

Pyramid + SAP

(🕐1 hour) The Pyramid Decision Intelligence platform provides the ability to report, analyse and combine data from a range of data sources including SAP BW and HANA. This use case is designed as an add-on to the other Learning Hub courses and will cover Pyramid features specific to SAP.

Pro (2023): Administrator

(Approx. 2 hrs)
The Admin Console is the main, graphical interface for administrators managing each installed instance of the Pyramid platform. It is accessible to any Professional user designated either an Enterprise or Domain admin. This course will be relevant to Admin users on any 2023 version, and will provide a general overview of the Admin console and guidelines for managing the Pyramid platform.
